What's your book about?

  • The Albany Douglas Way London, England United Kingdom (map)

Ever been asked ‘What’s your book about?’ only to be self-deprecating, trip over your tongue, or waffle nonsensically? Learn how Commissioning Editor Rose Tomaszewska (Quercus/Hachette) pitches books to her team and the publishing industry, and how this can help you get attention, summarise your work and present yourself confidently. There will be a voluntary option for interactive involvement.

This workshop is sponsored by Hachette UK’s Changing the Story:

“We are delighted that Changing the Story are sponsoring the Bare Lit festival for the second year. The festivals amplification of vital voices with an eclectic and accessible range of events for the BAME communities of readers and writers is a brilliant, positive way for people to be seen and heard. We are proud of the festivals reach and pleased to see Bare Lit building its audiences over the years to become a firm favourite in the literary calendar.” Sharmaine Lovegrove and Nick Davies – Co-Chairs Changing the Story
